About the Course

Owned and operated by the Musqueam Indian Band, University Golf Club was originally called Westward Ho! when it first opened in 1929. We are a public facility located in Pacific Spirit Regional Park, close to downtown Vancouver.

Today, the yardage on the card is 6,303 from the back tees, playing to a par of 71 while construction is ongoing on the front 9. Holes are arranged on the 130-acre property as two returning nines. The clubhouse and holes 1 to 10 are located on one side of University Boulevard which runs through the middle of the layout, with the remaining holes laid out across the road.

Highlight holes include the two strongest par fours on the card at the 426-yard 11th and 421-yard 13th. A new addition for 2025, is the brand new par 3 6th hole, set to open this spring, featuring a large green space and extended short grass areas. The golf course is undergoing it’s first official re-design since the 1980’s, with Lobb + Partners under contract to complete the work. See here for details.
