Event Coordinator (Wedding & Banquet)

Our Event Coordinator has been a member of our Food & Beverage team for 30+ years. While working on her Education degree at UBC Joni worked part time as our 10th tee kiosk gal when she 1st started, then moved into the Banquet department as a Banquet Server, Bartender and Banquet Captain before she was asked to be one of our Food & Beverage Managers.

For the last 21 years Joni has been our Event Coordinator and enjoys planning events of all styles for the variety of clientele UGC has. Joni has achieved her WSET Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits and enjoys learning about and tasting wines from around the world.

When not spending time working at UGC you will find Joni working on her spending quality time with family and friends, traveling as time permits, going to the gym and golfing. She looks forward to another year as part of the UGC Food & Beverage Team!

Executive Chef

Andy’s passion for food is legendary. Whether he’s creating a cup of hot chocolate for heli skiing guests, fresh from the sea lobster for resort guests in the Seychelles, or perfecting a recipe for beer soup at a brew pub, Andy’s passion for food and cooking infuses every dish he creates. When he’s not in the kitchen Andy enjoys photography, particularly photographing vintage cars and the colours and textures that make Vancouver an amazing city.
